Vancouver SkyTrain

If you’re looking to get around the city safely and see beautiful views of Vancouver, then it is a good idea to check out the Skytrain. It is the best way to get around the city of Vancouver. Traveling across the city and into the suburbs, the SkyTrain is fast, clean and affordable. Visitors can buy a day pass at Sky train stations, SeaBus stations, convenience stores, Safeway, and Shopper’s Drug Marts. You can tour the city and travel around on the SkyTrain all day with this pass, and it also applies to the SeaBus and local metro buses. It is a great way to explore the city with friends and family and you will be able to see many different views of the city as you travel. Some attractions are just on the outskirts of Vancouver, so it might be best to take the SkyTrain to get there instead of overpaying for a taxi.

Visitors can catch the SkyTrain from the downtown Waterfront Station and then travel two stops down into the core of downtown at Granville Street station. In this area visitors will find department stores, entertainment, cafés, vendor hot dog stands, bars, restaurants, the Granville 7 theatre and a wide range of retail shops. All this is located around the Robson and Granville Street intersection. If visitors want to travel out of the city they can continue on the SkyTrain until they hit Metrotown, one of the biggest shopping malls in British Columbia, featuring over 500 shops. There are stations in the heart of downtown on Burrard Street, on Granville Street, on the Waterfront and in Gastown, as well as in many other areas. You can find out routes and maps for the SkyTrain at any station, by calling 604-953-3333 or online atwww.translink.bc.ca.
