Vancouver International Airport

Located in Richmond, Vancouver International Airport (also known as YVR) is approximately 20 to 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, depending on the traffic. It is the second busiest Canadian airport, one of world’s major airports, and has daily non-stop flights to Mexico, Oceania, Europe, Asia, Mexico, Caribbean and the United States. It is also a main hub for WestJet and Air Canada Airlines. When commuters travel through the International Terminal they can enjoy colourful paintings and First Nations art and sculptures, as well as high ceilings and spotless floors. Vancouver International Airport is bordered by the Fraser River and Richmond and approximately 15 million people pass through the airport every year. With tons of restaurants, cafés, spas, pubs, and shops, there is no shortage of things to do at YVR. The airport is located 3211 Grant McConachie Way, Richmond, B.C. V7B 1Y7.  This airport will become an even bigger international gateway in 2010 when the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games arrive and attract thousands of tourists from around the world. YVR is always open and operates every day of the week, 24 hours a day. Visitors can reach YVR at 604-207-7077 or find out more at www.yvr.ca.
