Top Anniversary Ideas

If you are thinking of doing something special for your anniversary this year, then you might want to check out these top “anniversary ideas”. Vancouver is a romantic city filled with chemistry and charm, featuring loads of great restaurants, special places, amazing views and escapes from the everyday. Show your partner how important they are to you by taking them somewhere, buying them a nice gift or recreating your most memorable moments together. Consider some of these popular anniversary ideas:

Go on your first date all over again. Book a table at the restaurant you went to, go to the same bar or do the same activity you did when you first went out together. Recreate the chemistry, and experience the first date tingles once more. Remember to do exactly what you did on your first date, whether it was bringing some flowers, stealing a kiss or sharing a great meal. Create your romance all over again!

Renew your vows at the same church, beach or place where you did it the first time. If you can invite the same people who attended your wedding the first time it would be perfect. Say your vows all over again and tell your partner how lucky you are to have them in your life. This can be a great way to strengthen your marriage and create an even bigger bond between you as you commit to each other all over again.

Go get some romantic photos done of you as a couple. Get a photographer to take some professional photos of you together and then put them up around your home. This will renew your love and bring you closer together physically, mentally and spiritually!

Get away for the weekend. If you live outside of Vancouver, then plan a weekend getaway in the city itself. There are so many romantic hotels and bed-and-breakfasts to stay at within the city, and most of them will help plan your anniversary celebration. If you live within Vancouver then you can plan an escape out of the city, to areas like Whistler or White Rock.

Have a family/friends reunion at one of Vancouver’s top beaches and celebrate with your loved ones. This can be a wonderful way to acknowledge your love in front of all of your closest family and friends. Have a picnic or barbeque and party the whole day through. English Bay, Spanish Banks and Kitsilano Beach are some great beach-front locations for a family reunion.
