Grouse Mountain

If you want to see panoramic views of the city, ride on a gondola and dine at one of Vancouver’s best restaurants, then make sure you visit Grouse Mountain. Only 15 to 20 minutes out of the city, this hot attraction is open all year long and there are always activities going on in every season. Visitors can take the SkyRide gondola up the 3642 foot mountain, take sleigh rides, go skiing, snowboarding, play in the snow park, and take panoramic photos of the Gulf of Georgia, Vancouver Island and Fraser Valley.  There are 26 ski runs to try out and you can drop in for ski lessons if you need them. The mountain also has other activities such as a Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, mountain bike trails, snowshoeing, a lumberjack show, equipment rentals, birds-in-motion demonstrations, tandem paragliding, helicopter tours and dining at the Observatory restaurant.  Grouse Mountain is open from 9am to 10pm all year long. If you want to dine in a more casual atmosphere, you can visit the Altitudes restaurant. Visit the website at www.grousemountain.com or call 604-984-0661 for more information about this top Vancouver attraction.
