Downtown Core

Vancouver’s downtown core area is bustling with financial corporations, businesses big and small, tourism companies, landmark hotels and major shopping destinations. It quiets down at night time, but in the day it is very busy with locals and tourists alike. It is the money-making centre of Vancouver and attracts millions of business travelers every year. If you are looking for a hotel that can accommodate your business needs then you might try the Sheraton Wall Centre, Marriott, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver,  Metropolitan or Four Seasons Hotels. All of these major hotels offer five-star service and business centres for their guests, as well as many other amenities.

Robson Street is located in the heart of downtown and is always accessible on foot, by taxi or by bus. This is where people can wine and dine their clients or dazzle their partner with a romantic night out. Just a few blocks to the east you will find the Vancouver Public Library for all of your resource needs, and department stores such as the Hudson’s Bay and Sears Canada as well as the full-service Pacific Centre Mall can all be found just off Robson. You will always be able to find expensive brand name fashions on Robson Street and within these department stores.

If wining and dining isn’t your thing, then you can always watch a live performance at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre or head to a blockbuster movie at the Scotiabank Paramount Theatre just steps away on Burrard Street. Visitors will also notice the many financial institutions around the heart of the city, as well as many government buildings, both federal and provincial.
