Cypress Mountain

Only 30 minutes west from the city of Vancouver in Cypress Provincial Park is Cypress Mountain. This mountain provides skiers with fabulous slopes, terrain, snow conditions, lifts and customer service. It is the highest peak you can experience within the North Shore Mountains, and some of the best professional skiers visit here every winter season. This mountain can accommodate over 2,100 skiers a day, and visitors can enjoy world class hills, cross-country skiing, rides and more on this amazing mountain top. Cypress Mountain is also one of Canada’s number one locations for snowshoeing, snowtubing and tours.  Located in West Vancouver, British Columbia, you are sure to enjoy a visit to this mountain with family or friends. Drive up the road to ‘Cypress Bowl’ as you head up the mountain and you will be able to enjoy amazing breathtaking views of all of Vancouver and sunsets like nowhere on earth.

There are a wide variety of runs for skiers of all levels and skills. For snowboarders there is free-riding terrain to experience, while skiers will head downhill and see fabulous views of English Bay, Howe Sound and Granville Island.  Cross-country skiers will love skiing forested trails and seeing amazing Canadian wildlife in its natural habitat. There are also guides that can take you on snowshoe tours and show you some of the best areas on the mountain.  During the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Cypress Mountain will host a variety of sports such as freestyle skiing, freestyle moguls, slalom and the snowboard half-pipe events.  Visitwww.cypressmountain.com or call 604-926-5612 for ticket and seasons pass information.
