Canada Place

Canada Place is one of Vancouver’s most important landmarks. This is the best place to start your tour when you are planning a visit to Vancouver.  Easily recognizable from a birds-eye view, this amazing attraction is visited by thousands every year. Cruise ships come in from around the world and dock at the Port of Vancouver. This amazing attraction has five sails in its structure which makes it look like a big sailboat and it is home to the Pan Pacific Hotel, an IMAX Theatre and various other kiosks and stores. Visitors can also enjoy top-notch cuisine in the Five Sails restaurant located within the Pan Pacific Hotel. This hotel is famous for holding large conventions and business events, as well as weddings. Canada Place offers phenomenal views of the North Shore Mountains as well as photo opportunities of the whole downtown core. This attraction is close to everything in Vancouver and it is only a short walk to another famous landmark known as Stanley Park.  If you are a history buff, you can take a 10-minute walk to Chinatown or Gastown. If you are visiting Vancouver for the first time you can visit the Tourist Centre just across the street called Tourism Vancouver and find out all about the city and its activities.
