The Hollywood North is kicking off 2010 with the up-and-coming television series Life UneXpected. The show’s co-stars Shiri Appleby and Rafi Gavron arrived at VYR on Sunday January 3.
A complicated Juno meets Gilmore Girl, Life UneXpected begins with the quest of 15-year-old foster child Lux (Britt Robertson), who decides to find her birth parents in order to become an emancipated minor. Instead, she finds herself released into the temporary custody of her birth parents Nate “Baze” Bazile (Kristoffer Polaha), an overgrown frat-boy who is stuck living in his past, Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby), a popular radio host who struggles to move forward, and Cate’s boyfriend and colleague Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith). Together, the three attempts to give Lux the family she never had. Rafi Gavron plays the love interest for Lux.
Produced by Liz Tigelarr (Brothers and Sisters, What About Brian) and Gary Fleder (October Road), this midseason drama has critics and fans raving about its unexpected and heartwarming charm.
Life UneXpected premiers on the CW on Monday, January 18th. If you missed it, you can watch the preview here. Don’t forget to follow the cast on Twitter and check out Life UneXpected on Facebook.
