From Russia with Love: The Original James Bond 007 Martini Party

The crisp, cold nights in Vancouver these days are reminiscent of Russia, with love…As Vancouver’s social elite rush to find a place to keep warm, they head into the historic and exclusive Vancouver Club for the Jet Set Crew’s “From Russia with Love”, the original James Bond 007 Martini Party.

As an invite only affair, the JetSet Crew events are open to members of the JetSet Crew and their guests. Notorious for having guest who go all-out with their themed outfits, there was no disappointment on Saturday evening as the room filled with Vancouver’s own share of 007’s, Dr. No’s and Tatiana’s. The main ballroom at the Vancouver Club quickly filled early in the night and the dance floor proceeded to be the place to be scene. With dancers dressed like “From Russia with Love”’s gypsies, the vibe keeps going with Belvedere cocktails being served up shaken, not stirred.

The VIP lounge located on the upper floor featured a second dance floor, with a live percussionist, champagne bottle service, gourmet roast beef sliders and billiard tables while enjoying a break from the dance floor.

The classic and traditional Vancouver Club was decked out with James Bond memorabilia courtesy of Murray Gillespie, a James Bond Historian and Collector. As the night carried on, the chilly Vancouver night began to get warmer and warmer. How better to keep warm than some vodka, fur, pristine white tuxes and ladies dressed in their finest Bond girl attire?
