Our Family Experience at the Harrison Beach Hotel in Harrison Hot Springs

The Harrison Beach Hotel was a fabulous experience for our family as it had everything we needed to make sure our family was happy and satisfied throughout our stay. We enjoyed a spacious Mountain View Suite with exceptional views over the king size bed and a cozy electric fireplace, as well as a partial kitchen.

We were very excited about having all the kitchen space, as we wanted to save a little money on the restaurants and snacks and bring some of our own food. We had a mini-fridge including a freezer space, loads of cupboard space, cutlery, dishes, a toaster, microwave and more. This is a smart room choice for a larger family of six!

Our toddler was very safe in our room and at the hotel, and he enjoyed running around from the living room to the bedroom non-stop. (My only advice would be to keep the balcony closed at all times unless you are with your little one, as even though the balcony walls are high, you never know if a toddler will climb a chair and table set.) Other than that, he had a comfortable crib to sleep in at night and our 12-year-old son had a soft cot to lie on. Our teen daughters slept on the pullout sofa bed, which they found extremely comfortable. (To give you an idea, it took us awhile to wake them from their snooze cocoons so we could sit and watch a bit of TV)

The bathroom was massive and the tub was huge as well. My 6’5 husband enjoyed a jetted-bath one evening, so anyone can pretty much fit in one of those tubs. The TV offered a variety of channels that matched all of our tastes. You could always find a good movie to watch and if you want to, you can rent a movie from the downstairs lobby for a small fee.

Our younger ones over the age of 12 used the pool downstairs many times. Our balcony was also big offering views of the local town and area, as well as the enormous Harrison Lake Mountains.

The staff was very friendly and always helpful when we asked for anything. We will definitely consider this home-away-from-home on our next visit to Harrison Hot Springs. It is more affordable and much more family-friendly than the other nearby resorts, motels, and inns.

Our Experience at Thrilling Harrison Water Park

What a blast! This was definitely an activity to remember. When you are visiting Harrison Hot Springs and lake next summer, do NOT miss out on taking your kids to this amazing inflatable water park on Harrison Lake. It is open from May to September and there is a rate of $28.58 per person plus GST. If you ever wanted a full body workout that offers thrills, fun and laughter with the whole family, you’ve found it here!

Some families were a bit more daring than ours and did some pretty big flips and flops, but it was all around fun with the climbing, rope swinging, trampoline bouncing and more! The great thing about this unique water park is that you can come and go as you please throughout the day if you get your stamp, and you can rent a wet suit for $5 for those colder days.

There are group rates which you must qualify for (groups must be of over 15 people) and kids over 10 years of age can be left to have thrills at the park, while you watch from the shoreline. (Don’t worry, everyone has to wear a life jacket and there are trained water safety personnel on the water park.) There are some lockers on the marina where you can put your personal things and dry clothes as well. This is a fantastic idea for family fun in Harrison!
