You may have heard of the show or even seen the production crew filming around Vancouver. Currently in its second season, Fringe is a television drama that follows the encounters of the Fringe Division of the FBI. The principle characters on this special team are FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), previously institutionalized scientist Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble), and his son Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson). The team uses a combination of unorthodox experiments on the fringe of real science and FBI techniques to investigate a series of unexplained criminal activities, called “The Pattern”, that seem to be occurring all over the world.

Canadian actor Joshua Jackson’s fiancé, Diane Kruger arrived in Vancouver earlier this week for her cameo appearance on the show. The gorgeous couple, who were enjoying their Mexican vacation just weeks earlier, braved the Canadian winter weather in their warm coats.

Fringe is back on the air and you can catch it on Thursdays at 9/8c on FOX!

Directed by Joe Carnahan, The A-Team has brought a cast of popular stars to Vancouver this fall. This upcoming feature, planned for release in June 2010, is based on the ‘80s television series. The movie stars Bradley Cooper (Faceman), Liam Neeson (Hannibal), Jessica Biel (Amy Allen), Sharlto Copley (Murdock), and UFC fighter Quinton Jackson (Baracus).  For those readers who are unfamiliar with the TV series, the plot is about a group of Iraq War veterans who, after being framed for committing a crime, attempts to clear their name with the U.S. military.

These celebrities haven’t been spending time alone off set either. Jessica’s boyfriend Justin Timberlake has flown in to visit her. The two have been spotted having lunch at Naam restaurant in Kitsilano. Renée Zellweger also enjoyed a romantic weekend in Vancouver with Bradley Cooper. After hitting the gym and grabbing coffee, the couple was seen having lunch downtown with Ryan Reynolds.

Though the choice of actor and the conception of The A-Team has been the subject to much debate since the project was announced, this highly-anticipated remake of the iconic TV series will surely attract many viewers at the box office.

zac-efron-vanessa-hudgens-vancouverCelebrity spotting in Vancouver just got even hotter as one of Hollywood’s youngest ‘it’ couples work on their separate movies in town.

Your browser may not support display of this image. Zac Efron has been busy working on The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, an adaptation of the novel by Ben Sherwod in which a young man (Zac Efron) is overcome by grief at the death of his younger brother (Charlie Tahan). The movie also features Kim Basinger, and Vancouver’s own Amanda Crew. Unlike Zac who has been keeping a low profile around town, fiancée Vanessa Hudgens has been spotted shopping downtown with Twilight actress Nikki Reed, who is currently in Vancouver to film the third movie from the Twilight saga, Eclipse. Vanessa is working on her film Sucker Punch, a story set in the 1950’s about a little girl who ends up in a mental institution and while there, she starts to imagine an alternative reality. Sucker Punch also stars Carla Gugino, Jamie Chung, and Jena Malone.

Directed by Burr Steers, The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud is set to release in 2010 while Sucker Punch, directed by Zack Snyder, is set to release in March of 2011.
